All therapy sessions are completely confidential. We will only share treatment relevant information to your referring GP and no other details of our conversations will be shared.
There are some exceptions to our confidentiality agreement:
- If we have reason to believe that you are likely to pose immediate harm to yourself or others.
- If we are ordered by the court of law to share session notes, give reports, or to testify.
- We are mandatory reporters, who need to report suspected child sexual abuse, child abuse or elder abuse.
In any of such instances, we will be compelled to break confidentiality and inform the corresponding Teams. For the most part, we will discuss this with you before taking any such measures. However, in certain circumstances, we may have to break confidentiality to protect yours or others' safety without your consent.
