Therapies

At Raicare Health we do assessments for our existing clients if they need, to inform their treatment options .

Cognitive Assessments
Cognitive assessments are often requested by schools in order to provide additional information about support needs prior to school entry, and are helpful if there are concerns about an individual’s learning abilities or capacity to be independent.
A cognitive assessment generally takes half a day (approx 3-4 hours). We use the Wechsler intelligence scales, with the exact assessment depending on the individual’s age:
- Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scales of Intelligence- Fourth Edition, Australian Adaptation (WPPSI-IV): for children aged 2 years, 6 months to 7 years, 7 months.
- Wechsler Intelligence Scales for Children- Fifth Edition, Australian Adaptation (WISC-V): for children aged 6 years, 0 months to 16 years, 11 months.
- Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale- Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV): for individuals aged 16 years to 90 years.
Cost
Most of the time the test done at Raicare Health are reasonable but will vary depending on the purpose

Time
From 1 hour to max 4 hours depending on which test and what purpose.
Purpose
most of the time its for the selecting the most appropriate treatment.
But it can also be for DSP or NDIS . But we don't just do assessment as clients we don't treat .
Outcome
The best outcome is well informed treatment , receiving supports through NDIS or receiving a DSP for who needs it the most.
Supervision is an opportunity to bring someone back to their own mind, to show them how good they can be.

SUPERVISION
There are many different approaches to supervision and some approaches focus on interpersonal relationship between supervisor and others focus more on the development of competence through didactic skills learning, while others are a combination of approaches that encourage learning through understandings the client relationship. Whichever approach is taken in supervision, a core aim of supervision is to guide the supervisee to develop and strengthen their practice while being supported by a more experienced professional.
